Neste’s Sustainability Reporting for 2016

Neste has a long and successful history in sustainability reporting. In 2015, the company identified a need to renew their reporting concept, the target being a concise sustainability report focusing more efficiently on the most material issues. I am really glad that I was invited to the production team of the 2015 report.

The 2016 report and the production process built on the experiences of the previous year. We kicked off the project in September. My main role included carrying out several interviews of the corporate top management and experts, and, based on these interviews and diverse other sources, writing the first draft texts for the sustainability section of the report, including many of the case stories. I also helped edit the final versions of the texts.

Apart from the text production, I contributed to the content planning of the report, and provided feedback on how to improve both the process and the content of the report for next year.

Neste Annual Report 2016 was published on March 8, 2017.
